Hispañiola:

Cabarete is located on the north coast of Hispaniola, by taxi about 20 minutes east of Puerto Plata (POP) airport. With its proximity to an international Airport it is a great jump off point to visit other Caribbean Islands! I have been to a fair number of them, including Puerto Rico, Cuba, the ABC's, Margarita, Coche and Los Roques, Trinidad and Tobago and Grand Turk to the north of the DR.

The eastern, larger portion of Hispaniola constitutes the Dominican Republic that covers 2/3 of the island with a total from 48,679km2 . The western adjacent country is Haiti. The Dominican Republic has around 9,000,000 inhabitants and receives yearly around 3,000,000 tourists from all over the world.
